The Educational Gateway
The policy of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture is for Iceland to be in the forefront of nations in providing education based on the needs of the knowledge society. In recent years, the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, in co-operation with the government's Project Steering Committee on the Information Society, has striven to lay the foundation for new avenues of education, by utilising information technology.
The Educational Gateway is a means to that end. It is an environment for responding to the needs of students, teachers, schools, parents and others connected with education. It builds on public - private partnership in establishing up services for education.
The Educational Gateway is open to everyone.
